Telescope, a family-owned outdoor furniture manufacturer, faced multiple challenges: shoppers cutting back, lower-priced offshore competition, and retail customers losing share to discounters.

Our How America Shops® research identified opportunistic shopper and retail trends.  We conducted primary research with home furnishing shoppers to understand their needs and changing shopping behaviors.  We identified competitive gaps in the product assortment and recommended specific changes.   We evaluated new wholesale and retail opportunities (hotels, cruise ships, online), how to do business with them, and product offer.  And, we helped the company brand itself more aggressively through an industry newsletter and industry speeches.
